LM393 Sound Detection Sensor Module KY-038 for Arduino
The LM393 Sound Detection Sensor Module KY-038 is High Sensitivity Microphone Sensor which is a small, easy-to-use and can use to detect sound levels. HW-484 Sound Detection Sensor Module has four pins: VCC, GND, OUT, and AO. The VCC and GND pins are used to supply power to the module, the OUT pin is the digital output pin, and the AO pin is the analog output pin.
The output of this module is both analog and digital. The digital output acts as a key, and it activates when sound intensity has reached a certain threshold. The analog output voltage changes with the intensity of sound received by the microphone. You can connect this output to Arduino analog pins and process the output voltage.
KY038 Sound Detection Sensor Module is Arduino compatible and based on LM393 OP-AMP which detects whether the sound has exceeded a threshold value. In the LM393 Sound Detection Sensor Module, the op-amp is used to amplify the signal from the microphone and compare it to a reference voltage. The reference voltage is set by the potentiometer on the sensor.
The LM393 Sound Detection Sensor Module can power by a voltage between 3V and 5V. The input voltage is supplied to the VCC and GND pins on the module. The operating voltage of the module is determined by the voltage that is supplied to the VCC pin.
This Digital Sound Detection Sensor Module KY-038 also has two LEDs: a power LED and a signal LED. The power LED turns on when the module is powered on, and the signal LED turns on when the sound level exceeds a certain threshold.
Overall, the HW-484 Digital sound detection sensor module is a versatile and a good choice for projects that require a small, lightweight, and reliable sound detection module.
