Arduino UNO R3 SMD Variant CH-340 With Cable
The Arduino Uno SMD is a version of the Arduino Uno, but uses an surface mount version of the Atmega328P instead of the through-hole version. This version was made in response to a shortage in supply of the through-hole Atmega328P. This board is based on the ATmega328 (datasheet). It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. Arduino UNO board contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started.
Arduino Uno differs from all preceding boards in that it does not use the FTDI USB-to-serial driver chip. Instead, it features the CH-340 programmer as a USB-to-serial converter.
This is the SMD version of Arduino UNO R3. The new improved version has the ATmega chip is surface mounted to the board, so the chip cannot be easily replaced, unlike the original where the chip can be easily pulled out and replaced. Performance will be the same as the original.
