Working principle:

Photolysis method: Measure pulse and blood oxygen saturation using human tissue to cause different light transmittance when blood vessels beat.

Light source: Specific wavelength illumination pole tube for oxyhemoglobin (HbO2) and hemoglobin (Hb) in arterial blood; The transmission is converted into electrical signals. The volume of arterial pulsation changes with the light transmittance of light. At this time, the light is reflected by human tissue through photoelectric conversion and converted into an electric signal, which is amplified and output.

Pin Description:

  • VIN: Main power supply input terminal 1.8V-5V; 3-bit pad: Select the pull-up level of the bus according to the pin master voltage. Choose 1.8v or 3.3V (this terminal contains more than 3.3V)
  • SCL: Connect the clock on the I2C bus.
  • SDA: Data connected to the I2C bus.
  • INT: Interrupt pin of the MAX30102 chip;
  • RD: RED, LED ground terminal of the MAX30102 chip, – usually not connected.
  • IRD: The IR and LED grounds of the MAX30102 chip are generally not connected.
  • GND: ground wire
